2015 Itinerary: Day 1

Johannesburg A two hour seminar including lunch with one of South Africa’s leading scenario planners. An overview of South Africa designed to understand more of the country you will be traveling through. This is followed by a guided tour through the Apartheid Museum, finishing off with a wonderful traditional Braai* in vibrant Soweto *Braai = barbeque = Shisa Nyama in isiZulu Day 2 Johannesburg to Swaziland Soweto Tour Transfer via Sprinter to Swaziland (approx 5 hours)

Days 3-5

Spent in and around the Valley of Heaven Ezulwini while based in Swazilands most famous reserve, Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. Enjoy cultural sights of the Museum, King Sobhuza’s memorial, an authentic walk through Loheyya and a testing hike up Rock of Execution. Additional adventure activities available include Adventure Caving and an overnight horseback trail where you sleep in a cave. *depending on the time of year, Swaziland’s iconic cultural festivals are accessible from this location.

Days 6 – 9

Explore Big Game. continuing onto either Hlane Royal National Park or Mkhaya Game Reserve, via the Candle Factory and a craft market for lunch and a touch of shopping. Some of the finest Rhino viewing in the world on offer at these reserves and for those longing for quality safari experiences, these two reserves are what you have been looking for.

Days 10  & 11

Head to the famous Kruger National Park and enjoy the massive expanses of wilderness.

Days 12&13

Venture back into Swaziland via the fascinating and well presented Barberton Geo Trail into Bulembu. a beautiful drive punctuated by fascinating geological information providing a rare glimpse into earth’s early days. Enjoy the majestic Malolotja Mountain Reserve and finsih off with the world class Canopy Tour.

Day 14

Head back to OR Tambo to catch your flight home.
