Kaapsehoop

Kaapsehoop is an amazing Mpumalanga destination which is a mere 3 hour drive from Johannesburg. It is loaded with history and situated in a spectacular location – high above the valley bounded on the other side by the imposing Mkhonjwa Mountain Range – gatekeepers to The Kingdom of Swaziland. A short 35 minutes drive from Nelspruit and an imposing 900m higher, it is in reality a world apart.

Some say, a universe apart.

A short list of things to do:

Contact us to arrange an Adam’s Calendar Tour – it includes an open vehicle drive, a most knowledgeable guide and access into a mystical world that really gets you thinking.

View the Wild Horses – go to Kaapsehoop, you will see them. Ask a local how they got there.

Hike yourself into oblivion – it is part of a 5 day trail…that has seen better days…but the views are there forever. Otherwise, bring your dogs and scamper around the odd rock formations just skirting the village.

Walk to the waterfall, beyond the cemetery and towards the abandoned gold mines.

Come back to the village and overnight at Silver Mist Guest House

Directions – simply click on the green icon on the map, select directions and input your starting address.
